52 Weeks of Happy (18/52)

It has been a hard week here as a dear friend and coworker lost her father suddenly this past weekend. But I think it is when things like this happen that we really need to remember the blessings, love and happy things that fill our lives.

Doggie Invasion

Bailey Boo

  • happy doggies who seem to always take over a certain little someone's spot as soon as she leaves
  • evening walks at 8pm and the sun is still out
  • realizing you work with an amazing group of people who are there for each other in good times and bad
  • getting back on track with the healthy eating plan and feeling good!
  •  3-day weekends!!!
I'd love to hear what has made you guys happy this week?  How about plans for the holiday weekend?  For me, I'm down to the wire on some deadlines for TNNA that is just around the corner. I'm really hoping to power through my knitting to-do list this weekend. Wish me luck!!

Happy Knitting!

I'm so sorry your friend lost her dad. I think it's impossible to ever be ready for that day.

We're celebrating HS graduations here. 4 of the kids in the neighborhood, and Chandler's friends, graduated last night :-) It will be a fun weekend of wishing them well as they begin the next step of their lives :-)

We're having a Memorial Day/Housewarming party tomorrow (Sunday)...Little Man is learning to go on the potty instead of his diaper...I finished a pair of socks last night (finally)...and now I'm wondering what to work on next :)

Yesterday was the Wool and Wine Festival at Retzlaff Winery in Livermore. It was my first time going, and what an awesome, relaxing time it was! I lost my mom last year, my best friend. Along with that experience, my spinning mojo also left. This day at the winery (which is a beautiful place!!)was exactly what I needed to refresh and get my mojo back! It was a place of Happy!!!

I hope your friend finds her happy place again...these kind of steps in life are never easy!!

Hobbit and I have been down with a tummy bug since Thursday night so our goal is to keep some food in - today was the firs time we were able to do it so I have high hopes for tomorrow. While convalescing on the couch, I managed to make some hats for the Innocence drink charity... so I've been a bit productive which makes me happy too.

Good luck with your deadlines and give your friend a hug from all of us here. We had a scare with my daddy a few years ago and I don't know what I would have done if things didn't turn out like they had. Bless her and all who knew him.
