Goodbye Orcas Island!

bye orcas

I guess our fabulous week at camp had to come to an end sometime. Saturday morning we said goodbye to Orcas Island. Of course, first we had a fantastic breakfast with Cat Bordhi. Yes, Terry and I were just eating breakfast at the buffet with everyone else. Cat was looking for a place to sit and asked if she could join us! Well, of course. For the next 40 minutes the three of us enjoy watching the snow fall outside, talked about the Bay Area (where we all are from), discussed monkey madness, etc. It was grand.

Snow on Orcas

There sure was snow.

But it cleared up by the time we got to Seattle.

Cedar Creeks

I did finally finish my Cedar Creeks....very late Friday night .. hiccup!

Cedar Creeks

I love this colorway! Thank goodness I have another skein in my stash!

And look at the cute sock blockers that Pashyknits gave me as a belated birthday present! Super cute!! From Leggy Creations and its even personalized! Thanks Pashy!

Oh, and did you notice the pretty new floors and counters in the sock photos! Our condo is a disaster right now (e.g., half the house seems to be in either my room or my sister's!), but it is starting to look great!

Sock Pattern: Cedar Creek, KnitAlong going on over Here!

Yarn: Blue Moon Fiber Arts, Socks that Rock, lightweight, colorway Faulty Dyer

Needles: 2.25mm and 2.75 mm

Notes: Love these socks!! They fit so nice and snug too!

Oh, did I show you some of the things I picked up on my trip?!

Camp Souvenirs

(l to r) Knitters without Borders (new color benefitting the charity, soon available on the Blue Moon website), Prove it all Night, Scaponia, Eggplanted, Kaw Kaw (special camp color!)

And before you all ask, no that's not all I brought home...but that's all you get to see for now :)

But be sure to stop by tomorrow for some more monkey photos and a chance to win the Funky Sock Monkey pattern (I bought an extra to bring home for you guys!).

Happy Knitting!

xoxo Irishgirlieknits

Never mind the Sockateers, you're blogging public missed you. mwah, mwah, mwah missie.

I totally approve of ALL of those new colours. I'm especially in love with prove it all night. And the camp colour. And Eggplanted.

I love the cedar creeks. And I hadn't realised they were faulty dyer. That knits up so nice. You know, I have no imagination to see the colours from skein to knit, so seeing other FOs helps me decide what I might like :0)

And look at you, hobnobbing with the stars. Cat Bordhi is AWESOME.

Oh, and I love those sock blockers - I still don't have any!
