Pre-Camp Fun!

Bainbridge Island.

Churchmouse Yarn & Tea.  That means I did get some Shelter yarn.  And then Mora ice cream.

Today, our favorite restaurant from last year.  Hudson Point Cafe.  That means bacon waffles with white cheddar.

And tonight, camp began.  And now the sock camp after-party...8 of us right now...knitting, food, drinks, Twilight.

Must get back to fun....but I wanted to share a few quick photos!

Almost 4!!

Can you believe Lil' Guy is almost 4?! 

He turns 4 next week while I'm away at sock camp, so we headed to Monterey Bay Aquarium early this morning to spend the day with him!  Here's a peek at our day...

A skein of Miss Babs Windsor Sock yarn has been wound.

And a new notebook, with graph paper inside!! Seriously cute! I'm trying to resist buying more!

Things I Love Today.

1.  Rainy days.  I love rainy days IF I can stay inside by the fire and knit, knit, knit.  That is exactly what I did today since I have a deadline looming. 

2.  Signature Needles.  Wow, wow, wow.  I've had a pair of US 5 circulars just hanging out on a UFO project for the past few months.  Well, I needed to use them for the secret design, and I am reminded again how much I love them.  So pointy.  So light.  So smooth.  Serious heaven.  So tempted to order another one in a different size....

3.  My shiny new iPad2!  Love love love.  I've been trying not to play on it because of that deadline I have.  It is my first apple product since my iPod that I've had for forever.  Any apps you would recommend?!

4.  These absolutely adorable owl notepads.  Yeap, I finally caved and bought one.  Too cute!

5.  Sleepy doggies.



6.  Leftover Irish Soda Bread.  Delish!!

1.  Funny that during the month of 30 lists, on my list is 'blogging.'  Specifically, 'catch-up' and 'lists.'  Goodness.  And I'm not going to torture you all with a week's worth of lists...but there were a few that I felt I you would enjoy.

List #10 Wishlist

Right now, just one wish.

More time.  More time for fun, for work, for sleeping, for knitting, for spending time with family and friends, for knit nite (seriously! because the texts from my friends of "where were you?!" make me miss knit nite more), for relaxing, for snuggling with the doggies, for exercising.

List #15  What's on your shopping list?

Okay, I'll spare you the specific list, but this week I really wanted to get back on track with my healthy eating habits, so my list was of all the good healthy stuff I like.  And this week I've felt so much better (all that extra energy almost feels like more time!). 

Question for you guys though....to keep the healthy eating interesting....any favorite low-carb healthy recipes or snacks??  Please share!!

New yarn for A Verb For Keeping Warm.  So lovely! This is going to turn into a baby hat I think.  My best friend's baby has outgrown his IGK hats already! Such a bad auntie...man, I need to crank some baby hats out for him!!

This is a very special gift!  Stacy, fabulous owner of The Fine Needle, made me this adorable pillowcase for my birthday!  I've helped in her booth at both Stitches East and Stitches West with Kollage Yarns and she really is awesome!! Stop by her shop if you are in Maryland!  And the fiber....yes, Stacy knew I was a beginning spinner!  Thank you Stacy!

3.  Criminal Minds.  Disco and I watched three episodes late one night during her visit and I've been hooked ever since.  I'm up to Season 4!!  It has been awesome marathon-knitting.

4.  Marathon knitting.  Warn me again to never commit to four secret deadline designs in a row.  Makes for boring blogging!  And really hard secret-keeping.  Soon.....one more design to finish, and then the next one I can at least blog about it!!

5.  14 more sleeps til Sock Camp!!!!

6.  Spring!!!  Raining out, but these gorgeous beauties are making me smile!

Catch-up!

This weekend was all about catching up.  Catching up on sleep, knitting, spending time at home, relaxing, deadlines.

I've made my list.  They are words I dislike so much I don't want them cluttering up the blog to be honest.  There aren't a lot, just a few.  Take a peek here at everyone else's least favorite words...a few of mine are on those lists.

I like lists.  I'll admit that I often know life is a bit too overwhelming if I haven't made time for my lists (e.g., so much too do, don't want to add #167 Be overwhelmed. to it).  I have my to-do list for work and my to-do list for life.  My must-knit list.  My design list.  A general knitting to-do list.

I've been reading about the 30 Days of Lists project on twitter and initially thought fun.  Then I saw all the artsy journal type entries and thought, nope. Notgonnahappen.  Then I read Stephen's post and thought, not too late.
