A spontaneous trip to our family friend's cabin was definitely the right way to savor these last few days of summer.
My view this morning....
Then a day at the lake...
Knitting...
We spent our childhood summers here and it seems like it hasn't changed a bit....
Well, except the pool area has wifi! Which almost makes up for the lack of cell phone service!
Two more days of this seems like heaven, right?!

It looks so peaceful and beautiful there. Where is this? Could it be Kings Canyon? Or maybe Hume Lake? I've been there a couple times. So pretty.

I really love the places you go--Santa Cruz has been my very favorite for my whole life. My grandmother used to make us change out of our bathingsuits under the Boardwalk, inside of a towel curtain! And to be at a lake with a sandy beach, in the middle of a pine forest--how peaceful, restful and beautiful!
I love that the pool area has wi-fi! What a great place to finish up the summer.
How lovely! I miss summers playing at the lake and in the woods.
