I spent the last few days of 2013 with lil' guy and enjoying this lovely California weather.
I just have to share these sweet photos of Miss Magpie from last weekend. A quick stop at my sister's, hoping for some snuggles, but magpie looked like this.
As I cooed over her, both my sister and BIL said, "No." One word. They may have followed it up with something like, "Don't you dare pick her up." It was soooooooo hard to resist, so I just moved in closer to whisper to her :)
Seriously. Wouldn't you want to pick her up too?!
There was a bit of knitting before the end of the year. I finally knit these little guys too! Do you ever have a project that you've wanted to knit for forever, and whenever someone shares their pictures of that project, you remember how you want to knit them? That's how these are for me. So simple, but I've never set aside the time to work them up. I have more of these planned for the new year.
I left the faces for Lil' Snowboarder to do. Teamwork :)
2014 is off to a good start here. A perfect start to be honest. It involved sleeping in, jammies all day, family, doggies, good food, football, a bit of organizing, tv watching (Amber and Vera, both on Netflix), and a wee bit of knitting.
Cafe au lait, with lovely foam from my new fancy milk frother (Merry Christmas to me!)

My day felt like this. And it was lovely. And decadent. A few months ago, I would have taken a day like this for granted. But I realized I haven't had a day at home where I didn't have to leave the house in probably a good four or five weeks.Today was grand.
Wishing you and yours a very happy and healthy new year!!

A few things...
1. I totally would have wanted to pick up that sweet little baby and snuggled her!
2. My sister would have killed me too :-)
3. LOVE that huge smile on Lil Guy's face riding his scooter!
4. Please bottle his energy and send me some :-)
5. The project that I want to make and always put off is the hat topper and scarf for wine bottles. That would be a perfect way to gift a bottle of, well, anything for the holidays!
6. Wishing you a VERY happy and HEALTHY 2014 <3
Love those socks!
And, what a great park for the Lil Guy to scoot around!
Happy New Year!
Love the wine cork people! Can you share this pattern? I would love to make some of these.
I love the wine cork elfs. I have a pattern somewhere but I just haven't made them yet. Someday, perhaps...
