The Favorite Color

Can you take a guess?

Blue

Here. Take a peek at the color I surround myself with in my room.

The "I want to cast on now" basket

Or at the majority of the colors in my "I want to cast on now" basket.

The prettiest socks I've ever knit!

The prettiest pair of socks I've ever knit I think!

Can you tell from my new favorite socks that I've finished?

You guessed it. Blue. My favorite color.

Now that we've got that established, let my color journal begin.

Happy happy!

Sea World

I couldn't resist a few more pictures from our San Diego trip! These were all taken on our last day, Wednesday, at Sea World!

The Whales

Yes, I snuck in a quick sock picture at the whale show! I finished the toe of my Trickle sock!

Trickle

Sock #1, only because I got distracted by my February Sweater and then Summer of Socks! I finished the last few inches on the trip. Still loving this pattern but I don't think Sock #2 will be finished until after Ravelympics (I'm going to try to make another sweater!!).

Oh, wait. Did you all see any new yarn purchases in those pictures? Nope. Nada. We even drove past a sign in Old Town San Diego that said "Yarn" and we didn't even stop! Of course, I fell down today and joined the Sundara Seasons club (she re-opened it!). What is that saying, one step forward, two steps back?

Happy Friday!

Enamored

enamored: to inspire with love; captivate

Trickle WIP

I've fallen head over heels for my new sock.

Trickle WIP

I started it late Sunday night and haven't put it down since. Yes, I love the yarn (Socks that Rock, lightweight, color Blue Moonstone).

Trickle WIP

But I think its the pattern that I love. It is my most complicated sock pattern to date, but its moving right along!! The pattern is Trickle by the very talented Nathania Apple. I've had the pattern for awhile but when I saw the new BMFA ad in Interweave Knits featuring the sock it gave me a reminder to start it. I was good and resisted ordering Mochaberry to knit it out of and used some stash yarn! But when this is done, I'm soooooo rewarding myself with some Mochaberry!

We'll see how much progress I make on these on my quick work trip to New Orleans this weekend!

Happy Knitting!
