Look what I did last night.
Woohoo! I wound yarn for three new projects! Can you believe I haven't done that since before Sock Summit?! Things have been busy busy around here!
Hence, the crazy pile that is amassing on my desk.
I cast on for an easy project for the Sept-Oct Woolgirl Scarf/Shawlette Knitalong! We just started the KAL, so feel free to grab your favorite Woolgirl yarn and join us! (Or she is having a shop update/mini-sale this weekend if for some reason you are low on Woolgirl yarns!) I'm using Madelinetosh Sock in the Kale colorway (this has been in my stash for a long long time!) to make a Lacy Baktus.
This yarn still taunts me though (as is the book I still haven't read!). It is STR heavyweight in Spinel and I have had about an inch of a February Lady started in this since last February. Soon I say. Soon.
Now its time to knit. Well, until Lil' Guy and his dad show up. Then its time for running.
Happy Friday!!

Ooooh an FLS in Spinel? That'll be gorgeous!
Yay, so you are going to work on FLS in spinal :) Pretty yarns/projects to be! I'm off to wind some yarns too :)
I am in the middle of a Baby Surprise Jacket for my new (one month today!) grandson...in Spinel Str heavyweght that I picked up at camp. Love this color! I want to make me something in it too!
Those KAL patterns look like so much fun! And I can use up STASH!!!!! WHOOT WHOOT! I am thinking about starting the lacy version.
Good luck with all of that lovely yarn. I am knitting with my first STR heavyweight and I must say - it is the best yarn I've knit with so far. Smooth and silky, warm as can be. Fabby!
Love the grey in your first photo. Is it Stormy Weather? Gorgeous. Do you have a project in mind for it?
Your other FLS has served you so well, and looks great on you, another one in spinel would be great. Zonda is almost done with hers and I'm halfway through mine - go on, do it :0) Such a quick knit.
Do you get smackdown points for chasing lil guy?
If that book is The Story of Edgar Sawtelle (Or is it the Legend of?) I just finished it, and it was very dark in my opinion. A well written book, lovely vocabulary words..(Like bosky for example) but not hopeful or uplifting. Again though, just my opinion.
Pretty, pretty starts! Makes me want to stash dive & start something new.
How fun...I love new starts! Pretty, pretty colors...I'm eager to see the items as they come along.
I've got an FLS to knit too, and it's a holiday gift so I need to get started soon given my knitting speed or lack of it :) Maybe we can start ours together for a mini- KAL.
