Olympic Update!

Have you been glued to the tv watching the Olympics?! I've been!

And that has resulted in a bit of progress on my Tickled Pink Blanket that Rocks! I was dismayed Friday night, thinking there was no way I was going to finish this. But I'm making steady progress, and well, when I run out of yarn, I'll be done!

I think I'm at the 50% point almost. The blanket has grown 7" in width and 7" in length!

Weaving in the ends is perfect for when I'm sick of the garter stitch and my hands need a break. I'm loving the colors!

Okay, its time for the snowboarding competition!

How are your Olympic projects coming?

Go USA!

I don't have any "Olympic" projects, but I'm in the home stretch of the second sleeve of my first "big" sweater! Love how the blankie is coming along.

Nice job. I don't even want to add up how many hours I knit today. The sleeves of my Vancouver sweater are finished. We must be crazy!

Pretty pretty pretty. Great progress too. My own crochet project is coming along nicely too :0)

I wish I were able to participate but with classes and work, I just don't have enough time. I have a shawl that was supposed to be done for this last Christmas. It's currently 1/5 done. I have a sweater I started last October. I need to finish the sleeves, sew it together, do the neck, and weave in the ends. Oh, and there's the sock that I started last June...but that's almost done. I just need some time to do some knitting instead of homework. Boo.

Beautiful blanket. I can't imagine doing a blanket in fingering weight!

Fingerless mitts turned out to be a good choice. I'm pretty sure I'll finish on time.

Talking about YOUR Olympic projects is more fun. And prettier. And...

I'm on my THIRD swatch for a "can't talk about it in public" sample that is my hardly ideal (for that reason) Olympic project. I'm sure I could crank it out in two weeks AND have time for my other Ravelympics events, if only the swatch would turn out!

(Now, aren't you sorry you asked?!)

Your blanket is gorgeous and 7" is serious progress! My FLS progress has slowed with the distraction of hockey hats. Maybe today I'll make some more progress. It's supposed to snow and I think I'm feeling a little sick :-) cough cough

Even though I am not a big "pink" fan, I must say, your blanket looks terrific.

Beautiful! You are totally breezing through the qualifing rounds.

My olympic project is not doing nearly so well. I'm not giving up yet but getting that medal is a real long shot at this point.

It looks wonderful and you are cruising right along.

I have been watching and it's been so much fun. Great coverage, I think.

I am going to sew up a toy bunny I've been knitting hopefully tonight and stuff it. We'll see. If there is any spare time left, I might try an EZ baby surprise jacket. If I can just find where I put the book!!!

Love the blanket! 7" is a lot of progress; keep it up! My Olympic socks are coming along slowly. There is a vague hope that I'll finish in time.

Pretty pretty! I changed my project(s) at the last minute. I really wanted to do a shawl, but I have several sock issues. Two pair of toe up monkeys that misbehaved and needed strict attention. I have yet to finish the #2 socks of Queen of Beads and Holidazed. I have finished the first round of Qualifying (1 monkey pair) and move on to my second qualifying monkey pair tonight!
