Snow!

We arrived in Lake Tahoe yesterday and this was a view on our walk.

However, this morning.....A perfect morning to wake up to in the mountains!!

This is the view from the porch this morning.

When the plans for your day include knitting and sitting by the fire, you don't mind that this is how it looks outside.

I did bundle up to walk down to the main lodge for breakfast, but it was delicious and so well worth the walk.

Don't worry Mom and Dad, they are already plowing our walkway.

Now time for a cuppa tea and some pattern writing by the fire :)

Happy Vacation!!

Ew. This is one of the things I was glad to leave in Wisconsin :)

What a magical transformation! It reminded me of my childhood in Colorado. Because it is so dry there, you can go to sleep with everything looking all brown and withered and wake up to a winter wonderland!

If it was a really good day, there would be enough snow to have a Snow Day called. Then my mom and I would break into the Snowbound Cabinet. Supplies for S'mores and the old-fashioned popcorn that you put over the burner in its own pan - Jiffy Pop!

Be sure you wash your hands after your s'more binge. I'm assuming you have the supplies. :)

Then you can knit for hours off the sugar high!

Oh mylanta, how I wish I was there with you! What a wonderful treat - snow is something I've not experienced in over twenty years and I truly miss it. Thanks for making this girl's day.

I am so jealous! I love snow, but Wisconsin is supposed to get less snow than usual.

Also, I was at Tahoe this summer. It's hard to believe that winter has already arrived.

I was at SOAR and I shared your snow! It was fun, although the altitude was a bit of a shock!
