It has been a very relaxing, blessed holiday here and for that I'm so grateful. From busy days of celebrating, to relaxing in jammies and knitting away the day, to eating a bit too much, it has been a wonderful week. Even with a nasty sore throat/sinus infection, I've been able to have fun and get lots of rest.
My favorite moments have been with Little Guy and Lil' Snowboarder and seeing the magic of Christmas through their eyes.
I wanted to share some of our holiday moments....
Sunday we spent the day at my brother and SIL's home. It was so nice to all be together, mom, dad, sis, her husband, little guy, and the doggies :)
Yes, he is 5 and totally wanted this helicopter. I think my brother loves putting these together for him too! I did get Little Guy a small Santa sleigh and "made" him put it together himself, after an initial, "But I can't do it." He was so proud to finish it all by himself!
If you've been reading this blog for awhile, then you know my sister-in-law has the Martha Stewart touch. I just love her home around the holidays!
And of course, dinner was delicious! I forgot to take a picture of the Eggnog Tart and the homemade pumpkin ice cream!! Yummy!
We spent Christmas Eve at mom's house and as a new treat, I got us all crackers from DavidsTea.
There were a few special gifts this year, but probably my favorite one was Pa's new Jennie the Potter mug. See, Pa LOVES my Jennie the Potter mugs. The first time he used one he said to me, "Did you know these are handmade by someone? Look she signed the bottom and everything. This is the best mug!" It was fun to tell him that I even knew Jennie! So a few months back I asked Jennie if she would do a custom order for me and I told her how much my dad loved her mugs. Jennie, being as awesome as she is, offered to customize dad's! I'll admit, I'm a bit jealous dad has a special mug!!
Even with a football and shamrocks for the Fightin' Irish!!! Pa loves it so much he has used it everyday since Christmas! Thanks so much Jennie!!!
Speaking of the Irish, Christmas shopping was easy for me this year! Everyone got ND stuff!
We'll be ready for January 7th!
I hope you all had a lovely holiday season too! I can't believe just a few days until New Year's! Where did this year go? I do plan to make the most of the last few days.....
Happy happy!

That mug is just awesome!
Sounds like you had a lovely holiday! I can't believe how much Little Guy looks like his daddy! He's got the same grin.
I put in a request for Badger gear for Little Man for Christmas because we can't get it out here. My friend from high school complied and he got a hooded kid-sized Badger snuggie and a couple books about Bucky Badger (cartoony type books). While we were back in Wisconsin, I picked him up a new Badger sweatshirt because he didn't have one. He wears it all the time and will ask for it (by pointing to the closet and asking, "Bucky?").
Your SIL does have the Martha Stewart touch! The pictures from her house are always so pretty!
Love the Jenny the Potter mug. It's perfect for your family!
