Monkey Monday!

Yippee! Its been a long day, but I just had to finish the toe on my sister's Monkey socks when I got home from work.

two little monkeys..

This photo shoot was all my sister's idea! Her monkey too.

I find it interesting how much more she is interested in the modeling when the finished item is actually for her.

lots of leftovers!

She picked the yarn out herself too. Hazel Knits Artisan Sock, colorway Chuckanut Drive, from Woolgirl. Lots of leftovers too! I'm thinking this would be perfect for a Barn Raising Quilt Square. Are you all knitting your squares to donate for Sock Summit? They need them by June 9th.....details here. The finished blankets are going to be auctioned or raffled off as a fundraiser for Doctors without Borders. Great idea!

Happy Monday!! (seriously, how many days until Friday?!?!?!)

Oh, pretty! I've been resisting that colorway at Hazelknits forever. Can it last? Not if I see more pictures of those socks.

First of all, thanks for the Barn Raising link. What a great idea to use up old stash yarn!!! I'm going to try my best to get some squares sent in!!

Also, I think I feel the need for a pair of new monkey socks around here . . . thanks for the inspiration!

Ah, I think I missed a good three posts! LOVE those Piddleloops-resisting for now...Great Monkeys and the cookies look deee-lish! Sadly, if I made them, even at 2 pts each, I'd probably eat a good 8 points worth at one time!

I must confess, I have never knit the monkey pattern. I have wanted to, but have thought that it might make my leg appear larger than it already is.
I love your added picot edge though - very feminine! And great colors!
PS - only two more days until Friday, but they promise to be jam packed with work!
