Where did you go? I can't believe you flew by so quickly. Well, I guess I can believe it.
So much for my January and February planned Self-Imposed Sock Club socks. Ugh. Zero out of two. But, I'm not giving up yet. My goal was twelve socks from stash, so if I can whip these up before the end of the year, well, I'm still good, right?
A busy, busy February here. First, there was my busy weekend with Lil' Guy.
And when I came home from my birthday weekend with Lil' Guy, I had two awesome birthday packages to open.
I love that Disco knits things for me!!! Such a dear friend. Love the washcloth, but Lil' Snowboarder really loved her new ring and bracelet!
Too cute! And available in her etsy shop!
The next package was this gorgeous skein of Yarn Hollow yarn from Erica! Pretty!
Then just a few days later, the Stitches West fun was in full swing! I just love this picture of my mom and Susie from Kollage Yarns.
Thayer signing autographs too!! So proud of her new gorgeous shawl, Ysabell shawl!
My friends were all so supportive of stopping by my meet-and-greets! Tricia, Becky, Judy, and Diane....taking pictures of me, taking pictures of them! Our SnB is too much fun!!
Disco and I also took a class from Fiona Ellis. Can I say amazing!!! Bring on colorwork!!
These were my samples from class! I can't wait to do a colorwork project soon!
Then, a day at the coast to relax from the Stitches West fun.
Perfect place to take photos of my new cowl!! Disco also knit me an Ida for my birthday!!
I love it and I had purchased a perfect pin from Romi at Stitches for it too!
And so I dropped Disco off at the airport, and less than two days later, I was off for a business trip to New Orleans! Busy, fun trip filled with yummy food!
Shrimp and grits from Emeril's! Bam!
And Mardi Gras parades!!! Seriously fun!!!
Where's the February knitting you ask?! Goodness, I don't know where it went. I finished one secret design, a second is in the works, but other knitting...I didn't finish anything this month??! Note, this didn't stop me from purchasing plenty of yarn at Stitches either (those pictures still to come!)!
I did pick my spindle up again at Stitches West!
And the heel of my handspun Cotty socks was turned and I was able to work on the foot a bit during my flights. So thought these would be done by now. Hopefully this week?!
Well, so long February. Great times, but I'm looking forward to staying at home for a bit....well, at least until the end of the month when I go to....
SOCK CAMP!!
Happy Monday!

{this moment} A Friday ritual. A single photo (well, sometimes maybe two!) - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. Stitches West Fun!!!

Such an exciting weekend, I don't really know where to start. I have so much to share, but until I have a bit more time (and sleep!) to compose a more thorough post, here is a snapshot of the weekend!
The Ravelry Party....yes, I brought some Irishgirlie fun and Susie, Mark, and Erica of Kollage Yarns induldged me in the fun!!
A life-size poster of the most gorgeous model ever! Thank you Thayer!! And because I know you might ask, yes, that is her gorgeous Blair sweater from Twist Collective that she is wearing.
And so many friends stopped by the meet-and-greets to say hi and show their support! I love you guys!! Thank you!!

There are more pictures...just couldn't load them all tonight!
My mom and a dear family friend came too! My mom was a trooper and came both days, and so did my sister!! Eek...Where are those pictures?!
There are knitters everywhere at Stitches and it was such a great time to meet up with all of our local friends!
Disco enjoys a cupcake break (hey, look at her super-cute tote bag!)!
Oh, and yarn. There was lots and lots of yarn.

More about the yarn later, but ummm...I may have made multiple purchases from Sunshine Yarns. I think one every day!
The post-Stitches hangout at The Hilton Bar....where we had a fabulous time with Lew!
And these ladies....well, they know how much I love them! Seriously. I am blessed.
Trust me, plenty of more pictures, yarn, and things to share from Stitches!
Thank you again for everyone who stopped by the Kollage Yarns booth to say hi! I so appreciated it!
And a little thank you IGK pattern sale going on through Tuesday! All of my individually-sold patterns available here on the blog or at Ravelry are 20% off! Thank you again!
Happy Stitches!!

And so exhausted (but you moms figured that, right?).
But a fabulous birthday weekend with the rugrats!
Grandma came on Saturday and we had tons of fun at the bounce house!
Seriously love this kid!
Um....Auntie IGK, can I have four??
I took a bunch more pictures, but in most of them lil' guy is just a blur (even on the sport/kid setting!)! One busy, quick kid! Oh, and his new favorite toy!
Don't tell my brother and SIL, but I would watch him for 4 days anytime! Just love him to bits!

10 things..

...that I love this week.
1. That yesterday when I got home from work the sun was still out and shining! And I was able to take pictures of the new Rockin' Sock Club shipment. Can anyone say colorwork??? Just what I need to learn. Perfect in so many ways! What a great way to start the club!
2. 8 more days until Stitches West!!! So excited! I'll be doing a lace demo and pattern signing both Friday and Saturday from 3-4:30 at the Kollage Yarns booth :) I can't wait. I'm hoping all my local knitting friends will stop by and say hi! I think Irish Mom and IrishDaisy (aka lil' sis) may stop by too!
I'll also be working the Blue Moon booth!! I'll try to leave some of the new colors for you guys :)
3. 8 days until Disco is here!!!!! Not only Stitches, but girls weekend with Disco is just going to be too much fun!
4. I'm still loving my new logo and the beginning of my blog makeover! Irishgirlieknits.com is still a work-in-progress, but I am so excited about this new adventure!
I have to send another big thank you to Jill, aka Knitterella, for all of her help with this process. Best. Graphic. Designer. EVER. Seriously....just love her and what she has created for me :)
5. That Glee is back!
6. That in just eight days, we've been able to raise $160 for Autism Speaks with the proceeds from Walk Now! Thank you all so much! Just the beginning hopefully!
7. This song. Can't get it out of my head! It is also my new phone ringer :)
8. My knit friends are getting their designer grooves on! Check out this, this, and this!
9. Speaking of love, I realized that I never posted my design for the Woolgirl Sock Club last December. It arrived right before I left for TNNA, and now that Valentine's Day is upon us I really, really want to cast on. The theme: Love Letters! Perfect pairing of Miss Babs Yummy Sock yarn, my pattern Love Letters, AND Neuroknitter's absolutely gorgeous photo cards. The cards were probably my favorite part, as they were a complete surprise and I have been a fan of Gail's photography for quite some time!
10. Birthday week!! Yes, tomorrow is Irish Dad's birthday and then mine of Friday! That means cupcakes!
What are you loving this week?
Happy Knitting!
