Fall in Love Fridays: The Pigeonroof Edition!

Do you remember me blogging about this lovely yarn last year? I bought a few skeins from Woolgirl sight unseen and just loved them! And then tucked them away in my stash.... ignored... for a year!! Eek! With Stitches West coming up next week, and knowing that Pigeonroof Studio will be there, I thought I better at least try the yarn before I think about buying more!! Her colors are to die for!
PigeonRoofStudios Original Sock, colorway Plum Tortie
And then I fell in love all over again. I just had to cast on. Despite saying just a day or two ago that I wouldn't cast on more socks until I've finished my Trickle socks. Oh well. I could blame Neuroknitter a little bit...she did enable me to cast on for the Tesserae sock after I drooled over hers!
I guess you could say I'm using up my pattern stash too, since I've had this pattern for awhile and still hadn't cast on! I love it!! Such an easy to memorize pattern!
Happy Friday!! Less than a week til Stitches!!!!!!

Ooo, you'll have to let us know how you like that pattern. But I've never been disappointed by a knitspot pattern yet. :)
Pigeonroof Studios is amazing stuff. I just recently bought my first little bit of it. Excellent work on stash/pattern busting! I'm so jealous of Stitches West!! I was sooo eager for Stitches East this year and went running into the marketplace only to find that BMFA wasn't there. I still managed to score a good bit of goodies, though.
I just ran across my Pigeonroof skeins too when I was hunting down all my Woolgirl stitch markers.
I don't have a pattern in mind for mine yet (mine's the lighter stuff w/the spreckles), so I'll live vicariously through you.
She's a Bay Area local so any support for her work is good.
I love her yarn! Every time I put on my Spring Forward socks, I think my feet actually sigh.
Man, I wish I was going to Stitches!
Oh.My.Gosh. Look at that yarn!!! Lovely, lovely, lovely!!! And those beautiful socks...and luscious photos!!!
I'm proud to have contributed to the enabling on this project!!
I've been stalking your blog all day...waiting for this post...and well worth the wait it was!!!
Happy Friday!!!
You are forever knitting something in my colors and making me wish they were for me! Or that I was knitting the same pair. Or that I at least had the same yarn. Ack!
They are truly gorgeous, but I will not fall victim to your enabling power! I still haven't knit the last yarn you made me buy.
I have that pattern too. It's on my to-knit list sometime this year!
YUMMY YARN!
Another lovely pair of socks to come. And look at you using yarn stash and pattern stash!
It's beautiful!! I have 2 skeins of sock yarn in Loganberry that I still haven't knit up. :( I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT STITCHES!!! When you're visiting Pigeonroof Studios, you TOTALLY have to check out Snicklefritz Yarns, too. they're sharing the booth, and Janelle's stuff is also AMAZING (though I may be a bit biased, being friends with her and all. haha)! tell her Manda sent you ;)
Ohh...lovely!! I've only been able to score any of her yarns via destashes. Hehe...1 week!!
I can't wait to see the finished project. The colors are gorgeous!
If I can tear myself away from the BMFA booth, maybe I'll budget for a skein or two of that - absolutely beautiful. And a pretty sock design too - is that a teeny tiny cable I see?
My word verification is: swears. I swear!!
You are on a purple jag lately. I like it! Tessarae is a fantastic pattern. Super easy to memorize but still fun to knit.
I LOVE this pattern! I have my two little skeins from one of our visits to Woolgirl's. I have been eyeing them lately. Did I say I LOVE that pattern?!?
See you at Stitches!!
Pigeonroof is sharing her booth with a woman in my knitting group, Snicklefritz yarns so I'll be sure to run into you there!
LOVE Pigeon Roof Studios, too! And me, too, haven't tried mine yet! (But then again, I guess now you have, so my remark doesn't count!)
And what Nartian said, agree! That was my justification for that last bit of roving I snagged at Article Pract last time I was there! ;)
Very pretty!
