Snowboarder and I are up at Lake Tahoe for the weekend. Our annual holiday trip. We drove up yesterday in the snow, and awoke this morning to this!
On the drive up I finished my first knit of 2009. A pair of Toasty. Finally, after six pairs for gifts, a pair for me. In 100% cashmere. My new yarn love, The Plucky Knitter Aran Cashmere in the colorway Moat, and it took just one skein (with just a few modifications....see here).
And they are mighty Toasty!

Today was such a nice day in the Sierras, wasn't it? Made up for yesterday's rain. We're too far south and too low to have gotten snow this time.
We're heading home tomorrow, so hope you have a great time in Tahoe!

OMG gorgeous (both the scenery and the mitts)! Shane and I talked about going to Tahoe for our honeymoon, but ended up going to Vegas instead. Now I'm thinking a trip to Tahoe is in order for our 5-year anniversary in a couple of years.
