Let's Go Irish!!

That's right!! Not only do I get to enjoy my 3-day weekend with some quality, relaxing knitting time, but I get to start it off watching Notre Dame Football!! Fall is here!!

Football Saturdays are one of my favorite days. Perfect days. First, the farmers market. Then Rowan and I head to Dad's where we watch the Irish play and depending on how well (or not well) the game is going, I also get to knit! So last year, when the Socks that Rock Dreidel colorway came out, all I thought was ND socks!

See this perfect blue and yellow.

Of course, Rowan, being literal, said, "Looks more UCLA to me." Squish. I didn't care and cast on a pair of socks to work on for today's game.

However, as I wound the skein, I had an "Aha!" moment. This is literally what I was looking at.

Okay, maybe its not my Notre Dame socks.

Maybe they will be my Starry Night socks.

Either way, I'm loving this colorway. The pattern is Seeded Ribbing from my new book from Zonda, More Sensational Knitted Socks.
Go Irish!!!

I'll root for them to cream MSU in a few weeks. But that's the only time I root for a team outside my own (go CSU Rams!).

I've got to cast on my own team-color socks. I love the way yours are looking!!!

Nice. I used Dreidl to make the Rock and Weave socks. Loved the way it knit up. Definitely Starry Night.

I love the colors, I think Starry Night is it though. As soon as I read it, it was like a-ha!

I hate to contradict, but fall is NOT here! Especially in So Cal. I wish it were... Sigh. Cute stuff, though. Got anything in SDSU colors? ;)

You are not alone in the world, I too am a huge fan of Notre Dame Football and I am a dedicated knitter. I just wish that the out come of last weeks game was different. I am on Ravelry too, I think we should start a Notre Dame Football group!?!?
