I must say spending a few days in Seattle before sock camp was fabulous. I've never been there and I just loved the city! Sunday we had a gorgeous day!
Another view from our room.
CheekyAttitude and Chariel joined Cupcakefaerie and I for the day!
We had a fabulous lunch!
We ventured to Hilltop Yarns, a perfectly lovely yarn store. Seriously loved it. I might have bought one little skein of HazelKnits sock yarn.
Loved their merchandising!
And Chariel had to test out the patio knitting!
Then we walked down the very, very big hill to the Space Needle. I showed my spring forward sock to the Space Needle.
Then on Monday we began our journey to camp. First we took the ferry to Bainbridge Island.
Had to stop at Churchmouse Yarns & Tea too. Another fabulous yarn store.
And they had cashmere. Of the Plucky Knitter kind. Swoon. Yes, some hopped in my bag!
Tomorrow, the first full day of sock camp!!! Squeeeeeee!! Oh, and yes, tonight I did buy some Meet Brown, Joe! Love!
Happy Camping!!

Looks like you're having a ball and you're not even at camp yet! Enjoy and please keep posting so I can live vicariously through you.
Yee hah indeed!
Ooh cashmere! Nice! And Meet Brown, Joe! I'm glad you've already had a great time. That makes the rest of the week cake. Have fun!
Awww, I love Seattle! Glad you are having a fantastic time & have fun at Sock Camp!
It is gray and raining and sleeting and yuck here. So I'm cozied up by my computer with a warm cup of coffee truly enjoying your pictures. Those yarn shops look amazing. Someday . . . someday . . . I will join the merry sock camp crew...
Keep the pics comin'!!!
Great weather! And mmmm, that lunch looks *really* good.
Heehee - even the little amiguri is sniffing the yarn!
Okay...I was already jealous, but this is too much! A yarn AND tea store? Oooo, in my dreams. :-)
Sigh, I was just there and touched those same skeins of Plucky Knitter cashmere!
Looks like you're having a great time. (I love that the Seattle area has so many yarn shops!)
This has made me just a little bit homesick. I was there, doing that stuff, with my sister last summer! Sigh. Oh well, there are worse places than near Paris to be homesick in (smug, moi?).
Glad you're having fun in "my" town!
I'm glad you enjoyed Seattle! I love it here. :)
I am trying soooo hard not to be jealous. And I'm failing sooooo badly. What a lovely time you had!
Good times!! I loved Seattle too! I could live there :)
Yes, Sunday morning was glorious, especially after dreary Saturday! Unfortunately, I was headed home, not to sock camp.
Have a great time! Looks like you already are.
Awesome!!!
Wow, that lunch! That Yarn! Did the Space Needle like your Spring Forward Sock?? Have fun!
