Shawl that Jazz!

I'll admit it. I'm not really a shawl kinda girl. But I love this.
I'm most likely to wear this wrapped up on the couch reading a good book, but I love it!
I love everything about it. The simplicity of the garter stitch. The gorgeous LSS yarn. The fact that it reminds me of friends and camp. The use of stash yarn. The focused let's see what happens when I focus on knitting absolutely just one thing. The shawl itself.
I love it so much that my sister took these pictures before I blocked the shawl. It grew. A lot. Silk. Good to know.
Pattern: Shawl that Jazz by Samantha Roshak
Yarn: 2 skeins of Blue Moon Fiber Arts Luscious Single Silk (LSS), colorway Bella Coola
Needles: US 8 and US 10
Started: April 13, 2009
Finished: April 22, 2009
Now bring on the socks!
Happy Almost Friday!!

I think you need to become a shawl kind of girl!!! You look awesome. I wear a lot of mine with a jean jacket.
It is soooo cozy looking.
You look supremely happy in that shawl! It's beautiful. Congrats!
I'm not a shawl girl either but I love it also! Looks gorgeous on you.

Oh, how pretty! I love the color too, it brings out the gorgeous blue of your eyes.
I have ridiculous love for your shawl and I'm not a shawl girl either. I'm thinking I might need to do one in Kaw Kaw.
I am a shawl kinda girl and I covet yours! It looks like you could wear it for many occasions. You have the most gorgeous yarn and the most gorgeous eyes!
Beautiful!!! Just in time for summer ;-) Crank up the A/C!!!
It looks lovely and cozy. And growth would only make it cosier!
It turned out so nice! I t looks like the perfect shawl to curl up with or wear out!

That looks fabulous - both on you and in that colorway! I agree, I think you *should* become a shawl kind of girl! :)
...really, really, really pretty!
Just marvelous! I love the colors, the simplicity of the garter stitch, and the ruffle. I like to wrap up in a shawl while I work at the computer, esp. in the winter.
It's gorgeous and gorgeous on you! I hope it will also be seen on you outside of the house. :)
Love it! I'm planning to cast one on this weekend!
The shawl looks great on you! The color really makes your eyes stand out so much! Just lovely. A cozy camp souvenir. ; )
Soooo pretty! I have GOT to make myself one of those.
WOW! You whipped that up FAST and only 2 skeins!!
It does look soooo cozy!! I gotta do it!
It looks fabulous! Guess I know what my LSS needs to be!
Just fabulous! I agree with Chemgrrl, perfect with your eyes!! I just love that colorway too!
So pretty! And perfect for wrapping around your shoulders while snuggling up with a good book!
Soooo beautiful and great color too. I think it would be a great date night shawl on a spring evening. And thanks for the reminder of LSS growing after it's blocked - I'm using it for my February Lady sweater.
So beautiful! And it definitely brings out your eyes.
I agree with above - this is a great color with your eyes. How did you . . . when did you . . . it's a huge shawl and you seemed to have whipped that our over night. I'm starting to think that some of my bloggy friends possess knitting spells and incantations to make their knitting fly off their needles. Hmmmmmmmmmm.
ps. I want one. It's beautiful and cozy.
wow, who would have though garter stitch could look so amazing! great job!
You look super cute! What a perfect color for you.
